Am I too old to get my degree?
You're never too old to realize your dream of your University of Wisconsin degree. More and more adult students are returning to school. You'll fit right in as 30-35% of our students are adult students. The days of campuses with primarily 18-21 year-old students enrolling is a thing of the past. Also, we have expanded our on-campus and distance education course offerings to accommodate your busy work and home schedules.

Can I still be accepted if I did not do well in high school or college?
Yes. By submitting the required paperwork for admission, your file will be reviewed to determine your admission status. We want you to be successful, so you may be asked to limit the number of courses you take initially. Of course, once you succeed (and we know you will!), you will be able to register freely for the courses you like.

Do you accept transfer credits from other colleges and universities?
Yes, we do accept credits from other regionally accredited colleges and universities. Courses are reviewed in the Registrar's Office on a course-by-course basis to determine those appropriate for transfer.

What can I expect from a UW-Fond du Lac class?
You can expect a small, personalized environment with individualized attention and instruction. The average class size is 25 students.

Do you offer distance education courses?
Yes. In addition to on-campus courses, you will have the opportunity to enroll in online or computer-based training courses. These courses do not meet on campus at specified dates and times, although the course work is to be completed within the time frame of an academic semester. Assignments are completed independently, and you decide where and when you want to do course work. Computer access and proficiency, especially in the use of e-mail and the Internet, are strongly recommended. See www.online.uwc.edu for more information.

Who teaches the classes?
Faculty teach our classes. The use of teaching assistants is not a practice you will see on our campus.

What is the tuition?
As a UW-Fond du Lac student, you will have the advantage of the lowest tuition in the UW System. Tuition and payment information.
