UW-Fond du Lac’s recent Corks and Forks event raised $18,165 for student scholarships and the UW-Fond du Lac Foundation. The 173 guests at the fundraiser held on March 21 enjoyed a five course Italian dinner and wines from the region. The event included presentation of the 2013 Spirit of Excellence Award to Judith Berger O’Brien, a silent auction and a live auction. With a check representing the proceeds are from left Bethany Rusch, UW-Fond du Lac assistant dean for administration and finance; John Short, UW-Fond du Lac dean and CEO; Darin Garbisch, UW-Fond du Lac Foundation board president; Laurie Krasin, UW-Fond du Lac university relations director and Kathy Strong Langolf, UW-Fond du Lac special events coordinator. Corks and Forks 2014 will be held on March 20 and will feature Greek cuisine.
