UW-Fond du Lac selects Scott Wittchow to receive 2013 Distinguished Alumni Award  

Wittchow was with Action Publications for 22 years before retiring in 2011. He attended UW-Fond du Lac from 1969 through 1971 and played basketball under Coach Dick Knar. He then transferred to UW-Oshkosh where he earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism.

Walk in Wednesdays on May 8 and May 29 are an opportunity for those interested in attending UW-Fond du Lac to stop in at their convenience during these times and speak one-on-one with an advisor who will answer individual questions, offer guidance on applying to UW-Fond du Lac and provide information on the degree programs available at the university.

UW-Fond du Lac Theater Dept. presents powerful drama "The Dream of the Burning Boy" March 5-10

 

“The Dream of the Burning Boy” is produced and directed by UW-Fond du Lac professor Richard Gustin. The production will be presented in a unique staging with the audience seated onstage in an intimate setting.Only 120 seats will be available per show and advance tickets are highly recommended.

To meet the growing demand for healthcare workers, UW-Fond du Lac offers a three credit Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course which prepares students to take the CNA exam and non-credit test prep programs for those interested in a career as a Clinical Medial Assistant (CMA) or a phlebotomy technician.

UW-Fond du Lac students build local and national community with Habitat for Humanity  

Building instead of beaches—that was the uncommon 2012 spring break choice made by eight UW-Fond du Lac students in March. In a rented Chevy Suburban decorated with drawings of the Falcon mascot and the words “Georgia, here we come,” the group drove to a Habitat for Humanity site in southern Georgia to build bridges between communities while aiding construction on homes for two veterans.
