UW-Fond du Lac and UW-Oshkosh team up to establish transfer center
Students transferring credits from UW-Fond du Lac to UW-Oshkosh can get additional guidance as the result of the recently established Titan Transfer Center.
Lisa Romenesko, a transfer center coordinator from UW-Oshkosh, is available to meet with students at the UW-Fond du Lac Student Services Office on Mondays, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
UW-Fond du Lac credits transfer everywhere, and when students are ready to transfer they often have unique needs and questions about the process and deadlines according to Joyce Atkins, UW-Fond du Lac assistant dean for student services.
“Many of our students choose to transfer to UW-Oshkosh,” said Atkins. “They need to know what majors are available at the transfer school and what courses to take at UW-Fond du Lac to prepare for transfer. This partnership gives our UW-Fond du Lac students one-on-one advice for a seamless transfer to UW-Oshkosh.”
The Titan Transfer Center is a pilot project funded by the UW Office of Academic Affairs Committee on Baccalaureate Expansion. A third partner in the program is UW-Fox Valley where a transfer coordinator is on site two days per week.
UW-Fond du Lac is still accepting applications for the spring semester which begins on Jan. 23. Anyone interested in starting at UW-Fond du Lac for the spring semester should apply online now or call the student services office at (920) 929-1122 to make an appointment with an admissions advisor as soon as possible as space is limited.
