Wingra Woodwind Quintet to perform at UW-Fond du Lac on Nov. 19

The Wingra Woodwind Quintet of the UW-Madison School of Music will present a free concert at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 19 in the Prairie Theater at UW-Fond du Lac, 400 University Dr.

Established in 1965, the Wingra Woodwind Quintet has maintained a tradition of artistic and teaching excellence. Wingra has earned a reputation as a most accessible and dynamic ensemble with its many performances in the Midwest. Their repertoire balances traditional literature with the contemporary and their programming of cross-cultural music has become a focus for many of their concerts.

Wingra will also conduct a master class prior to the concert at 4 p.m. in Room UC 116 at UW-Fond du Lac. The public is invited to attend the master class.

Wingra’s appearance at UW-Fond du Lac is sponsored by UW-Fond du Lac Fine Arts and Lecture Committee and music department. Arrangements for this event have been made through the UW-Madison Arts Outreach Program, a component of the UW-Madison Arts Institute.
