Services for the Community

You don't have to be a student or faculty to use the library! Members of the community are encouraged to visit us and make use of our resources.

Borrowing Library Materials

Community members may register for a NEW ERA library card at the Circulation Desk. A borrowing account allows members of the community to check out materials from the UW-Fond du Lac Library or request materials via interlibrary loan from any of the 13 UW Colleges. Librarians are available to help you navigate Search@UW and find the materials you are looking for.  Your NEW ERA card also allows you to check out materials from 11 other libraries in Northeast Wisconsin.  Please see the NEW ERA website for more information.

Accessing Electronic Resources

Any electronic resources and online databases licensed by the UW Colleges Libraries may be accessed by members of the community in the library only. Off campus access is not allowed.

Community members are encouraged to use Badgerlink, a free resource providing access to a number of online databases to any Wisconsin public library card holder. Visit your local public library to find out more.
