Next summer’s three credit Biology of the Florida Keys course can be taken by current college students, high school juniors, high school seniors and community members.
Special Topics in Biology: Biology of the Florida Keys Marine Environment (BIO 298) will focus on the ecology of the Keys and Southern Florida ecosystem. Major topics include invertebrate diversity, sea grass ecology, coral reef ecology and identification of reef fish, sea turtles and mangrove ecology.
There are two trips planned. High school juniors and seniors will travel July 16-22, 2014. The trip for current college students and adults will be Aug. 6-12, 2014.
