Dean’s Message

Dear Friends,

Education can change a person’s life. I see it every day.

We also know that the students we educate at UW-Fond du Lac come back to the greater Fond du Lac area and make a difference. They are entrepreneurs. They are leaders. They are our teachers, our nurses, our doctors, and so much more. They are your friends and neighbors. They got their Best Start right here at UW-Fond du Lac.

It’s a proven fact that those with a four-year college degree earn more and are far less likely to be unemployed during their lifetime. Today, that holds truer than ever before.

Statistics also show that students who start at one of the 13 UW Colleges like UW-Fond du Lac and then transfer to a UW System four year campus, stay in school and graduate at higher rates than the students who transfer from other schools.

I have been so impressed by this area’s commitment to education since I joined the UW-Fond du Lac campus as Dean and CEO in July of 2010. And, we are equally committed to providing a high quality, affordable University of Wisconsin education to today’s students and future generations.

With the budget cuts and economic challenges facing all of us, we know that we will rely more and more on the generosity of private giving for scholarship assistance to our students and for support of professional development of our faculty and staff. I appreciate and thank you for your gifts to our campus.
