UW-Fond du Lac student Jenna McCauley (right) has been named recipient of the UW Colleges 2018 Lee Grugel Memorial Award presented recently by Dr. Martin Rudd (left), regional executive officer and dean. McCauley was chosen by her peers for this award in recognition of her outstanding leadership qualities.

The award is presented to one student from the 14 UW Colleges’ campuses who has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities during the past academic year. The recipient is chosen by student leaders on the UW Colleges Student Governance Council.

McCauley, an international business major, also attends classes at UW-Washington County in West Bend. She is an active member of student governance on both campuses, serving as vice president for the UW-Fond du Lac Student Government Association and a senator at UW-Washington County. She is a representative to the UW Colleges Student Governance Council and represents UW-Fond du Lac at the UW Student Representatives meetings.

A voice for students in the UW System restructuring process for the joining of UW Oshkosh, UW-Fond du Lac and UW-Fox Valley, McCauley is a student member of the Chancellor’s Implementation Advisory Group and attends Intergovernmental Meetings involving student governance structures at all three campuses. McCauley is also a member of the Multicultural Club and active in the Fair Trade organization at UW-Fond du Lac.

The award was established in memory of former UW Colleges Chancellor Lee Grugel.
