One of the most powerful dramas examining the issues of aparthed in South Africa. This drama by Athol Fugard is one of his best-known plays and earned Fugard international recognition with its premiere in 1982. He was a champion of the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa from the 1960s through the dismantling of that government policy in 1991. The play examines the relationship between a young, white South African boy and two black family employees.
