Professor Schreibersdorf conducts research on literature as well as on the teaching of writing. Her literary research focuses on the representation of political identities in popular fiction, and publications in this area include articles focused on 1930s strike novels and World War I "home front" novels. Her contribution to the branch of research called Scholarship on Teaching and Learning (SoTL) includes publication on how students respond to teacher commentary on literature papers. Lisa is also very involved in the study of gender and teaches courses in the Women's Studies Program.
