Dr. David Demezas obtained his BSc and PhD from Oregon State University. Upon completing his PhD, he conducted research in Australia an Michigan State University as a post-doctoral research fellow. Following these two research positions, he taught in the Dept. of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics of Oklahoma State University for 17 years and coordinated a multidisciplinary project in plant molecular biology. He joined the UW-Fond du Lac faculty in August of 2008.
He is married and has two children, a cat named Albus, and a dog named Mr. Bo Jangles. He enjoys being active and likes to run, bike, garden, and going on long walks in the outdoors.
